The weather was perfect for the first day of the
Heritage Charity Motoring Weekend which kicked off with the ever popular Sprint
along the Vazon Coast Road. The Friends
Of Saumarez Park Playground Appeal was lucky enough to be selected as one of
the three beneficiaries for the weekend.
A large array of cars for motoring enthusiasts to
enjoy from kit cars, Porsche 911’s, a Cobra, TVR Griffith, BMWZ8, Ferrari 308
to a Ford Transit Van!
Fast times were being set early on in the day with
the second fastest time of the day set on only the second run.
The fastest time of the day was set by Matthew
Roger in his Mitsubishi Evo X at 12.28, followed by Bartosz Sierzputowski also
driving a Mitsubishi Evo X at 12.59 and third fastest time was Steven De Jersey
in his Audi RS4.
Not many ladies were taking part this year but the
fastest was Nikki Swan with a time of 14.33 in her Porsche 911.
Congratulations to all the drivers for a great day
and to Heritage on another well organised weekend which was enjoyed many.
