Mega Car Boot Sale Sunday 28th July

The weather was looking perfect as the cars started to arrive bright and early!  8.30 start in the world of car booting actually means 7.45, but helpers were on hand to let them into the main park. The buyers were not too far behind!

Around 50 cars came with a large array of goodies to purchase.  From your household having a good clear out to the professional car booters with wonderful displays laid out beautifully.

Thanks to everyone who attended and all the helpers on the day we raised another £514.80 towards the playground appeal.

Heritage Charity Sprint 29th June 2013

The weather was perfect for the first day of the Heritage Charity Motoring Weekend which kicked off with the ever popular Sprint along the Vazon Coast Road.  The Friends Of Saumarez Park Playground Appeal was lucky enough to be selected as one of the three beneficiaries for the weekend.

A large array of cars for motoring enthusiasts to enjoy from kit cars, Porsche 911’s, a Cobra, TVR Griffith, BMWZ8, Ferrari 308 to a Ford Transit Van!

Fast times were being set early on in the day with the second fastest time of the day set on only the second run.

The fastest time of the day was set by Matthew Roger in his Mitsubishi Evo X at 12.28, followed by Bartosz Sierzputowski also driving a Mitsubishi Evo X at 12.59 and third fastest time was Steven De Jersey in his Audi RS4.

Not many ladies were taking part this year but the fastest was Nikki Swan with a time of 14.33 in her Porsche 911.

Congratulations to all the drivers for a great day and to Heritage on another well organised weekend which was enjoyed many.
