SAUMAREZ PARK’S revamped playground might be the first of several new play areas if fundraising goes well, The Friends of Saumarez Park
The fundraising group was set up to help redevelop the tired facilities at the Castel park, which are nearly 20 years old. Mr Eisenberg said it was important to update the play area. Plans have been drawn up which would see a wooden ship form the centre of the playground.
‘As a regular user of the park with my own kids, I was impressed with the plans and was keen to be part of the fundraising efforts in creating what will be the pride of Guernsey in terms of recreational facilities,’ Mr Eisenberg said.
